Did you miss the deadline to become a VIA Youth Council member?
Only have a passion for one of our major projects or events?
Join a Teen Works team!
Teen Works allow you to plan and manage projects with the VIA Council, while giving you the flexibility to work on projects that align more with your interest.
Membership dues are $15. Dues cover a VIA t-shirt and helps support VIA projects.

We know that many students are involved in several extracurricular activities, but this does not have to stop you from volunteering with other teens and meeting new people.

Becoming a Member At Large puts you on the email list for all VIA activities.
You have the flexibility to choose projects that fit with your schedule.
The membership fee is only $5.00, the membership fee helps to support VIA projects.



On-Going Opportunities

Boys and Girls Cub
    •Age: +16
    •Time: 4:00-6:30
    •Days:Monday-Friday
    •Work: Helping children with homework, assisting the program manager.



Elmore Humane Society
  • Age: 14 + for most events
  • 15+ to help with adoptions
  • Time: varies
  • Days: Monday-Saturday
  • Work: (Various opportunities) Volunteers are needed to help during supply drives, help staff when adopting out animals and on Saturdays working in the thrift store.
Sistas Can Survive
  • Age limit 14+
  • Time: flexible hours, after school hours
  • Days: Monday- Friday, occasional Saturday work available
  • Work: Volunteers are needed to assist with distributing flyers, sorting and filing of cancer education material and assisting with events, training is provided.

MANE

  • Age: 12+ for horse/barn work
              14+ to work with riders.
  • Time: 9:30am to 5:30 pm,
  • The majority of the riding classes are usually from 3:30 and 4:30
  • Days: Monday through Friday
  • Work: Therapeutic Riding Assistants: Volunteers are needed to serve as therapeutic riding assistants -, side walking with riders with disabilities, leading horses, and office work.
    Horse/Barn work:Volunteers needed to assist with grooming horses and barn chores.

♦ MANE is looking for weekly commitments for classes and working with the riders, but opportunities are available for one time community service hours.
